Our client is looking for a Senior Software Developer, you will work closely with their designers. You will support various products and services to use the design system and ensure the overall contribution of the components to the design system. You will also develop a way of working the design system, workflows and build an overall better design system.

What is our client searching for?

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• proven skills in HMTL, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowing React is an asset, but we believe in self-learning
• to understand systemic thinking
• extensive experience in working with multidisciplinary service development teams
• good understanding of design processes and toolkits across Product Design, Brand, and Marketing
• excellent written and verbal communication skills and uses them to effectively roll out large-scale programs
• relentlessly focused on customers’ and users’ needs and experiences

 Responsibilities:

• lead the client design system development roadmap with designers
• drive the evolution of the client pattern industry
• manage the implementation of the design system across the product ecosystem with the rest of the developers
• design and define interaction patterns through components, documentation, and prototype with designers and developers
• work with developers to maintain and create new components for our client library
• collaborate with developers across teams to curate new components and patterns
• collaborate with User Research to test as needed to ensure usability, consistency, and accessibility
• collaborate with Design Operations to build and maintain usage documentation
• collaborate with Design and Product leadership to define client accessibility standards
• scale work across a variety of audiences, abilities, devices, and platforms
• specify and maintain our core principles on visual style, typography, spacing, motion, and interaction models
• assess consistency and coherence across our design system while identifying areas for improvement.
